For many people, at-home care is far better than living in the large, institutional setting of a nursing home. In their own home, your loved one will be in familiar surroundings and will be close to friends and family members. It is the ultimate caregiving solution.
If you are caring for a parent or grandparent, you can be paid to provide care. We find this helps many people who otherwise would have to take time off from work, or work part-time instead of full-time, which affects your life in a major way.
Fortunately, Pennsylvania is a great state that allows us to pay people to care for their loved ones. You can be compensated for providing care for any family member (other than a spouse), or a friend. We assist clients with the enrollment process, who qualify for CHC (Community HealthChoices) and OBRA waiver programs.
We work with clients who find they need assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, mobility, and toileting. We also assist with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as light housekeeping, managing finances, shopping, preparing meals, taking medications, and communicating.
