At Ambassador Home Care Service, our mission is to help older adults and disabled achieve a higher quality of life, with respect and dignity, through independent living in their own home. We offer Personal Assistance Services (PAS), Activities of Daily Living (ADL), Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL), and more.
Our caregivers provide personal care for our clients that includes assistance with showers and baths, grooming and dressing; hair, skin, foot, nail, and oral care; assist with ambulation and transfer (wheelchair, walker, cane, etc.), clean dentures, repositioning in bed, and incontinence care.
This includes meal planning and preparation, assistance with meals, general and daily reminders. Our caregivers will work with the family to comply with any dietary restrictions, allergies, preferences, and other requirements.
Caregivers can assist with grocery shopping, errands, and transport to doctors and other appointments such as barbershops, beauty salons, religious services, or senior center activities. Errands may include mailing letters and packages, picking up prescriptions from the pharmacy, or returning books to the library.
Housekeeping chores that can be handled by a caregiver include washing clothes and linens and other laundry services, changing bed linens, washing dishes, vacuuming, light dusting, tidying up and organizing, watering plants, and taking out the trash and recycling.
Our caregivers can assist our clients with sorting and reading mail, writing letters, making phone calls, and keeping track of expenses. They might also assist with keeping a record of medical and health issues and monitoring wellness.
To provide a feeling of warm companionship and keep individuals informed and engaged, our caregivers can engage the person in light conversation, which helps to enhance your loved one’s emotional wellbeing and improve their quality of life.
We have been using Ambassador Home Care since last October and I can say that they have been very helpful, cooperative and informative. What sets them apart is their constant attention to their clients when there is a need pertaining to services… The customer service is excellent. Their representatives help us explore the different options that are available within the social service sector that we weren't aware of earlier. We are very happy to be associated with Ambassador Home Care and wish them the best!!

Our agency is certified by the Pennsylvania Office of Long-Term Living (OLTL) for the Keystone First Community HealthChoices (CHC) program and AmeriHealth Caritas in Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery, Chester, Bucks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties. We are also certified by the OLTL to provide services through the OBRA Waiver program, a home and community-based waiver program.
Ambassador services the following areas:
Non-skilled in-home care services provide help with the daily living activities. This may include grooming, bathing, eating, managing medicines, housekeeping, and errands, such as taking someone to a doctor’s appointment.
Yes, you can! However, there are financial and needs requirements that must be met to be eligible. Ambassador’s experienced service coordinators will help you to apply and be approved for the government waiver program.
Also called waiver-funded services, a waiver program is a government program for people who require long-term care but prefer to stay in their own home. The quality of care in a waiver program is the same as one would receive in a nursing home or hospital, but it allows a patient to live their life with as much independence and dignity as possible, in the comfort of a familiar setting. A waiver program includes allowances for home care (non-medical care), which are services that the Ambassador Home Care Agency can oversee or provide, as needed. Unfortunately, many people who are eligible for this program do not know that it exists. This results in a financial and emotional strain on patients and their families which could be greatly alleviated.
As a caregiver, you are paid by our agency, so that you don’t have to navigate through complicated instructions and forms.
Eligible family members include sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, etc. The program does not offer compensation to spouses, but everyone else is eligible. This includes family friends.
To apply for the waiver program, which pays you to care for your loved one, you must first determine that you meet the eligibility requirements. You must then fill out the application and be approved by program administrators.
You can, but the approval process is extremely complicated and there are several benefits of working with Ambassador Home Care Agency.
With Ambassador, you can rest easy, knowing that everything will be done in a timely fashion, professionally, and that your loved one will be approved for this state program.
